Mock tests
ASRB Extension Mock Tests
Full-length and unit-wise mock tests for ASRB NET and ARS in Agricultural Extension, with the real marking scheme, a timer and a question palette.
What a mock test is for
A mock test is not a knowledge check. By the time you sit one you already know roughly what you know. What a mock tests is everything else: pacing across 150 questions, when to leave a question, how you behave after four hard questions in a row, and whether you can hold attention for the second hour.
Those are the things that separate two candidates with the same preparation, and they only improve by being practised under the same conditions as the exam.
The tests on AgriExtPrep
- Mini Quizzes. Short, no negative marking, free. For learning a topic rather than testing yourself.
- Standard book chapter tests. Chapter by chapter, following the notes.
- ASRB NET and ARS tests. Full-length, ASRB marking, ASRB timing.
- AICE JRF and SRF tests. For ICAR PhD entrance aspirants taking the same subject.
How to use them
- Do not start mocks until four or five units are genuinely done. A mock taken too early measures nothing and is demoralising.
- Sit the whole paper in one go, at the time of day your exam is scheduled.
- The analysis matters more than the score. Look at the questions you got right slowly and the ones you got wrong quickly, because both are problems.
- Go back to the unit notes for whatever the analysis exposed, then take the next one.
Common questions
How many times can I attempt a test?
Three times. The full answer analysis opens after your first attempt, so you can study it and then reattempt.
Is there negative marking in the mock tests?
Yes, on everything except the Mini Quizzes. Three marks for a correct answer and one mark deducted for a wrong one.
Are any mock tests free?
Yes. The Mini Quizzes and a set of free tests are available to anyone with a free account, with no payment.
