ASRB Extension · Unit 8 of 10

Unit 8: Entrepreneurial Development

Agripreneurship: what makes an entrepreneur, how enterprises are financed and supported, and the institutions behind agri-business development.

What this unit covers

Unit 8 has grown in weight as agricultural policy has shifted towards enterprise and collectivisation. Farmer Producer Organisations, the Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centres scheme, and the incubation ecosystem are current, examinable and poorly covered in older material. The unit rewards specificity: name the scheme, know roughly what it does, and be able to say why a collective changes the economics for a smallholder.

The unit is broken into 10 syllabus areas, listed below. ASRB has set 11 descriptive questions from it that are on record, and there are 74 practice questions for it on this site.
